Lamps should be made of stable materials so that, if possible, they have a long service life and remain easy to maintain. The requirements call for strong materials, but these rarely go hand in hand with a soft and playful look. The well – known manufacturer Slamp has found a way out of this dilemma . He not only works with natural materials, but also with innovative plastic combinations such as Lentiflex®. The result is a material that is not too stiff and, thanks to its flexibility, significantly reduces the risk of breakage. Its properties also make it easy to shape and create fantastic designs. An example of this clever craftsmanship is the hanging lamp Veli Prisma in silk look. To the viewer, she appears to be made of silk artfully collected. Art is really at work here, because Lentiflex® has been folded down to detail for this design, so that the light creates prismatic light effects when switched on and transforms the room into a lively play of light. This is one of the special properties of the material, because Lentiflex® has the property of water: depending on the angle of view, the color scheme seems to change and light and shadow are created.
